Perform with Us

As a theatrical group, the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society would be nowhere without its performers. Actors, singers, dancers, and instrumentalists all lend their time and talents to make each production a success.
The Society holds auditions once a year for both principal and chorus roles. Audition pieces are sent out in advance, with auditioners expected to perform them from memory. In addition, those auditioning for a principal role are expected to read from the script at the auditions or at call-backs, and those auditioning for chorus generally do some improvisational exercises. If you're interested in auditioning, Contact Us so we can send you an audition notice!

Volunteer
"...a theatrical crew - each member a genius (and some of them two!)"Each year volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to help create a Gilbert & Sullivan show that is one of the best in the world. Here is the opportunity to participate in the creation and production of a superior theatrical experience, work with talented and gracious artists, get paint and gunk on your body & clothes, sustain small injuries like splinters and banged thumbs, and say, "It's my production too!" Please help us organize our volunteer program by letting us know early what YOU would like to do, so we can see where our needs are met and where more help is needed.
The Order of the Loose Canon

The following 65 members have each participated in the production of all the existing Gilbert and Sullivan Operas with the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society, as of 2012. These people have been members of the cast, orchestra, and staff or have served as a trustee or officer. The level of commitment can be judged by the fact that we produce only one show per year, and that takes us four months, starting with auditions in April. They have thus contributed the equivalent of over 280 years of talent and effort to bring you the best in family entertainment.
